Teletherapy, also known as virtual therapy, virtual sessions, online therapy, e-therapy, or video therapy is therapy delivered through a virtual platform via a computer or smartphone. If you’ve ever used FaceTime or Skype, it’s essentially the same thing, except more secure, HIPAA compliant, and with a qualified therapist.
By providing teletherapy, I am available to provide therapeutic services to more residents in Texas that may not have the same access to mental health services in their area. If you are in the Austin area, you can reduce your time in traffic and have more flexibility in your schedule by taking advantage of teletherapy. As long as you are a resident of Texas, we can work together via teletherapy.
Why Teletherapy?
Offers greater flexibility and work life balance
Reduce commute time
Privacy of your home
Convenient in times of illness
Access for clients with mobility difficulties
Support individuals outside of Austin (available to anyone that is a resident of Texas)
I am only seeing clients (teens and adults) via teletherapy/virtual sessions. If you prefer in person sessions, please let me know and I can offer you referrals. Virtual appointments can be requested online or by contacting me directly.
I use a teletherapy platform through my practice management software, Simple Practice. Which is secure and HIPAA Compliant. Once an appointment has been created, you will receive a link via email so that you can join the virtual session. For more information and the requirements needed to successfully connect, please review the Getting Started document.
